MEI’ve been on a lot of adventure days out over the years and trust me when I say @gobelow has gotta be up there with one of the best & most unique adventure days out the UK has to offer. You’re gonna wanna add this to your adventure bucket list! 🧨
Usually I like to spend my time on the mountain, but last week, I was invited to spend the day underneath one. @gobelow is set in one of the largest abandoned slate mines in the world, set underneath the mountains of Snowdonia, and takes you on an adrenaline-filled journey deep into the earth, as you cross ancient bridges and tackle Via Ferratas and ziplines to reach the deepest accessible point 1,375 vertical feet underground. This is also known as Deep Sleep, the world’s deepest underground accommodation - how insanely cool is that?! 🤯
We had an epic day exploring underground, testing our nerve on the various activities & learning about the history of the mines and the miners who would have taken the descent into the darkness every single day. A truly unique adventure and one I won’t be forgetting anytime soon!
