“Assisted the team.”
“Worked on projects.”
“Learned about marketing.”
These statements are vague and forgettable.
Internships are often the strongest proof of real-world exposure for freshers. If you don’t describe them properly, you weaken your own application.
Use this structure:
Action verb + What you did + Scope or task.
For example:
Instead of “Assisted in accounting tasks,” write:
“Supported GST documentation and reconciled monthly expense data using Excel.”
Clarity shows responsibility. Specificity shows competence.
Recruiters look for evidence, not effort.
