ROHow to take it to the top ⬇️⛳️
There are a variety of ways to think about the backswing. This series will work to expand on some of those ideas.
This first addresses how we can apply a “short arm swing big body turn mindset”
Arm lift is important but how do we know when to stop? A good checkpoint is lead arm parallel.
1. After 1st shaft parallel to the ground apply some more wrist hinge to set the club.
2. As the hinge is being applied lift the arms until we reach lead arm parallel to the ground.
3. Use your body turn to take the club to the top. Trace your hands back behind you along your body turn.
*important* After lead arm parallel there is no more input from the arms to get the club further behind us. Once we finish our body turn the swing in complete.
