This is insane. Go to Google Search Console. Click Performance, then Search results. Toggle on Average position. Scroll down to Queries. Filter by Position is greater than three. Change rows per page to 500. You don’t even have to export. Copy everything. Paste it into Claude. Use the prompt: “My business is this, give your business, give me keywords that are valuable, have clicks and impressions, that I’m already close to ranking for if I optimize better. Prioritize by low hanging fruit.” Claude will give you your keywords prioritized right there. Pick a keyword that looks good to you. Find it on the Google Search Console page. Click your keyword. Google Search Console will show you the page that is ranking for it. Now all you have to do is use that keyword exactly high up on your page. This tells Google you are more relevant to that valuable keyword so you show higher for it. When you’re done, submit the updated page in the bar at the top of Google Search Console. Then Click Request indexing. That tells Google to look again at your page, so Google can see your change. I recently ran into a classic but costly issue: SEO cannibalization.. While reviewing Google Search Console for an e-commerce client selling customizable table covers, I noticed something strange. Multiple URLs were ranking for the same target keyword. Google was getting confused, splitting visibility across pages instead of consolidating authority. That is SEO cannibalization in action, and it can quietly hold back your growth. The challenge was scale. With thousands of URLs, manually spotting overlaps was not realistic. So I created a new report in Google Looker Studio, connected it to the Google Search Console URL source, and built a pivot table including URLs, clicks, impressions, and average position. After exporting the full dataset, I moved everything into Google Sheets to bypass the 1,000 keyword limit inside Search Console. From there, I sorted keywords alphabetically to quickly identify instances where multiple URLs ranked for the same term. That process alone uncovered major opportunities to consolidate and optimize. But what truly took it to the next level was implementing a Google script that automated the heavy lifting. Sometimes the difference between good SEO and great SEO is simply building the right system to see what others miss. #SEO #DigitalMarketing

If you're doing this mistake Google might be ignoring your page updates.. so your ‘fresh’ pages never show up in search. Google might not even know they changed. When you update a page, Google doesn’t magically detect it. One of the strongest signals you can send is inside your sitemap through the lastmod tag. It doesn’t matter if your sitemap looks clean or full of code. What matters is that each URL includes a lastmod date that actually updates when the page does. If that tag is missing or never changes, Google may treat the page as unchanged. That can slow down how quickly your edits, optimizations, or new content appear in search results. It’s a small technical detail, but it directly impacts how fast Google processes freshness signals. The good news is that tools like Rank Math or Yoast SEO usually handle this automatically. Still, never assume it’s working correctly. Check your sitemap inside Google Search Console and confirm that the lastmod line appears and updates. Set it up once, and every future page update sends a clear freshness signal to Google. If you want the tools I recommend, comment index and I’ll share them. #SEO #DigitalMarketing

Google is not playing around anymore. Buying backlinks and trying to game the system can get your site suspended. And getting it back is not as easy as it used to be. Backlinks matter. Manipulation hurts. There are fewer second chances now. Appeals are not guaranteed. If your rankings disappear, your traffic can too. Build authority the right way. Create real content. Earn real links. Shortcuts might win short term. They cost you long term. #SEO #GoogleUpdates #DigitalMarketing #LocalSEO #MarketingTips
