There will never be another Google — but not for the reason you think. Google was founded in 1998 by two brilliant engineers. In the early days, it was just them writing thousands of lines of code to build the site from scratch. This is what the first Google homepage looked like. Every time they wanted to add a feature, someone had to manually write it If they couldn’t code it, they couldn’t build it. That was the rule, but that rule just got destroyed — right now we’re in a pivotal shift in how things get built. Now, you can literally code a website in just five minutes by describing what you want — and then AI writes all the lines of code. I used Caffeine AI to build this entire NBT site — it coded the extraordinary graphics, the structure, the backend — in minutes. Then I generated three completely different websites just as fast. Most people don’t realize this shift is happening yet. But it means the next Google won’t be built by a giant engineering team writing every line of code! It’ll be built by a visionary chatting to AI

Google just released an official CLI for Google Workspace, and it was built for AI agents first. The tool is called gws. It reads Google’s own Discovery Service at runtime, so every Workspace API is available dynamically — no maintenance, no stale commands. What the video couldn’t cover: The architecture has two phases: it caches Discovery docs locally and parses requests against live schemas. This means an agent gets typed tools, not a guess at what the API might accept. The 100+ SKILL.md files are structured agent task blueprints — not just docs. Workflows like “audit all external file sharing in Drive” or “create a project tracker in Sheets from a meeting transcript” are ready to connect to any MCP client. Setup requires a Google Cloud project and OAuth scopes, which is the biggest friction point. Broad scopes have been a complaint from early testers. Justin Poehnelt (the creator) is actively soliciting feedback on this. This is not an official Google product, though it’s maintained under the googleworkspace GitHub org.
