All fairness though, was a great workout with @kylehivkey16 @louisefield_fitness & Georgina @shredquartersreading . First thoughts were that 30mins was too long, but is we kept going, I didn’t mind, I just wanted to keep up. The CTF Burpees were not so good on the shoulders after the wall balls 😬. Oh well, they’ll come back stronger 🦾. Will definitely do that again…..need to up the game. [Historical Analysis] This (1936-1937) archival photograph captures Hermann Göring—Commander-in-Chief of the Luftwaffe and a principal architect of the Holocaust—at his sprawling country estate, Carinhall, alongside one of his captive lions. Rather than mere pets, Göring utilized these animals as living propaganda. He routinely posed with exotic animals to project a fabricated image of "Teutonic" strength, absolute dominance, and his self-appointed title of "Reich Master of the Hunt." Between 1933 and 1945, he kept a succession of seven lions at the estate. It is critical to historical study to note that Göring's extreme, performative opulence at Carinhall was directly funded and furnished through the systematic, devastating looting of Jewish property and European art across the continent. Once the lions grew too large to be handled safely at the estate, they were transferred to the Berlin Zoo.
