EDAI can increase efficiency in instructional work. That shift expands capacity. When time is gained, decisions about how it is reinvested become consequential. Efficiency alone does not produce instructional impact.
Impact depends on sustained attention to the elements of teaching that require interpretation, personalization, and professional judgment — dimensions that cannot be automated.
As AI becomes more embedded in classrooms, the central task is not simply adoption, but intentional allocation of capacity.
