Both the Nazis and today’s Canadian Liberals push heavy socialism, strict gun control, control of the media, censorship, abortion on demand, worship of big government, and policies that encourage division and violence. The similarities in authoritarian control are striking. History repeating itself is a warning we cannot ignore. Under the current Liberal government, Canadians have seen increasing government overreach, attacks on free speech, and policies that put the state above the individual. It’s time to reject this dangerous path. Born and raised in the Chicago suburbs of Arlington Heights and Prospect Heights, Kirk became politically active in high school. He briefly attended college before dropping out to focus on building TPUSA, which later expanded into affiliate groups such as Turning Point Action and Turning Point Faith. His activism centered on mobilizing conservative students and promoting Republican causes nationwide. Kirk espoused a range of conservative positions, including opposition to abortion, gun control, DEI programs, and LGBTQ rights. Over time, he aligned with the Christian right and advocated for Christian . America is a Gun. thank you to my friend Georgia for showing me this poem by @brian_bilston . I had no words after the two shootings yesterday, and this poem shook my to my core. Singing the words helped me navigate their power and my own sadness. I began singing Brians words last week after the Minneapolis shooting and didn’t post because it felt too personal, even though it wasn’t even my words. That’s the thing about lyrics though. or poetry. Once you write it, it’s no longer yours. The words become whatever someone needs to hear. Justin Jones has been stripped of his titles and legislative responsibilities, an extraordinary development in the GOP-led effort to punish him for his involvement in the demonstration. Reps. Gloria Johnson and Justin Pearson, who are also Democrats, are still waiting to hear their fates. “This awakened to the world that there is no democracy in Tennessee and that today’s vote is a very dangerous precedent for the nation,” Jones told Mother Jones Creator in Residence Garrison Hayes moments after his expulsion. “In a week after a mass shooting, it is so outrageous that the first reaction of this body is to expel me rather than to pass common sense gun laws.”
