ASSharing Lahori Hareesa recipe today. Do try this Eid. Kamal banta hai..
What you would need to make 2-3 kg Hareesa ๐
โ
Lentils ( wash and soak overnight, boil and blend)
โ
1/2 cup mong daal ( green daal)
โ
1/2 cup crushed wheat porridge
โ
1/4 cup whole wheat porridge
โ
1/4 cup rice
For Boneless Beef ( boil and shred) ๐
โ
500 grams beef
โ
1 onion
โ
1 tsp Garlic ginger paste
โ
1 tsp salt
For Beef Kebabs ( mix all of the following and make bite sized kebabs)
โ
500 grams minced beef finely ground
โ
Salt according to taste
โ
1 tsp cumin powder
โ
1 tsp red chilli powder
โ
1 tbsp chopped green chillis
โ
1/2 cup Makai ka ata
โ
1 tbsp oil
โ
1/4 tsp baking soda
For Hareesa Masala ( bhoonofy and grind coarsely)
โ
2 tsp black pepper seeds
โ
1 tbsp cumin seeds
โ
2 black cardamom
โ
2 green cardamom
โ
1 star anise (pool)
Other ingredients:
โช๏ธ 250 grams spinach ( boil and blend)
โช๏ธ 1 cup desi ghee
โช๏ธ 1/2 cup cooking oil
โช๏ธ 1 tsp garlic ginger paste
โช๏ธ 1 tsp red chilli powder
โช๏ธ 1 tsp garam masala powder
โช๏ธ Ginger for garnishing.
โ
Final Step: (combine all and cook as following instructions)
โช๏ธ Take 1/2 cup oil cook 1 tsp garlic ginger paste, add ground spices and 1 tsp red chilli powder.
โช๏ธ Add ground meat and cook for a minute.
โช๏ธ Add ground lentil mixture and cook. Add some water, salt.
โช๏ธ Fry beef kebabs and add half of them in Hareesa mixture.
โช๏ธ Make tadka by frying boiled blended spinach in desi ghee along with half of the fried kebabs, garam masala powder and ginger.
โช๏ธ Add tadka to the Hareesa, mix and cook for 2 minutes and enjoy!!!
