These three realizations changed everything for me and I wish I had understood them years ago… 1. Your mind believes what you repeatedly feed it. Positive thinking is not about pretending everything is fine. I used to think being spiritual meant staying upbeat no matter what, and if I felt sad, angry or discouraged, I was failing. What I learned is that your brain is a pattern maker. When you stay in negative thought loops, your nervous system starts expecting more of the same and looks for proof to confirm it. Shifting your mindset is not denial. It is choosing what you want to reinforce so your life does not become a repetition of the same emotional patterns. 2. Feeling off does not mean you are going backward. Healing is not linear. Some days you feel clear, grounded and peaceful. Other days old emotions come back out of nowhere. That does not mean you failed or lost progress. It usually means your system feels safe enough to release deeper layers. Growth is a spiral, not a straight line. Learning this helped me stop judging myself and start trusting what was actually happening. 3. Alignment feels like becoming more of yourself, not less. For a long time I thought awakening meant becoming quieter, calmer and more “zen.” What I discovered is that real alignment feels like coming home to who you already are. Your humor, your opinions, your boundaries, your voice. Spirituality is not about disappearing. It is about fully arriving. If you are in a messy or confusing part of your journey, it does not mean you are lost.
