DIi knew this hike was going to be good but i wasn’t expecting it to look like THIS 🤯
if you’re going to bryce canyon, the navajo loop is one of those trails that FULLY lives up to the hype. between the hoodoos, the wall street section, and the narrow canyon floor, it just keeps getting better the further down you go. i went at sunrise and had the trail basically to myself, which made the whole experience feel even more surreal
if you’re planning on doing it, here’s everything you need to know:
▪️distance: ~1.3 miles loop
▪️elevation gain: ~500–550 ft
▪️difficulty: moderate (short but steep on the way back up)
▪️time: ~1 to 2 hours depending on pace + photos
▪️trailhead: sunset point (easy parking + clearly marked)
▪️best time: sunrise for cooler temps and fewer crowds

MYLove living in a state where you can drive a couple hours and get to explore some of the coolest places 🥰
If you’re looking for some unique views:
📍MOONSCAPE OVERLOOK
we drove about 4 hours from Salt Lake City and made it to Hanksville. These are the exact coordinates - 38°27’05.8″N 110°50’16.6″W. Make sure you have a 4x4 vehicle because the road is unpaved. And there’s no cell service either, FYI. But it’s a gorgeous view of the moon-like surfaces, Factory Butte, and mountains.
📍HANKSVILLE
Stayed at @muddycreekminingcompany in Hanksville. They have the cutest cabins and it was really comfortable. Had dinner across the street at @dukesslickrockhv (their cornbread and cinnamon butter was SO good!).
📍GOBLIN VALLEY STATE PARK
the next morning, we drove to Goblin Valley State Park, and it was so pretty! We didn’t have much time, so walked through valleys 1, 2 and 3 in the Valley of Goblins. There isn’t really much of a marked trail so you can explore and wander around for unique views of the Goblins (which are funky rock formations). We also went on the “three sisters” trail and got another view of the park from there. There are a bunch of other trails and spots to see too (adding those to my list for next time).
A solid weekend getaway in the wild 🤍
