Allerdings gehe ich nun etwas vorsichtiger vor. 💚 Ich bahne mir mit den Händen zunächst einen Weg durch die Hosta. Dann kommt der Spaten zum Einsatz.😀 Richtig beherzt zustoßen und die Pflanzt schön glatt teilen. Ein paar Triebe können dabei in Mitleidenschaft gezogen werden, aber der gesamten Staude macht das nichts.💪 Die halbe Funkie bleibt direkt im Beet und die andere Hälfte teile ich nochmals, um sie zu topfen.😍 Ihr seht, auch jetzt ist die Hosta noch super zu teilen. 👌 Grundsätzlich gilt aber, dass bei starkem Wachstum und ersten Blütenknospen besser nicht mehr geteilt werden sollte. Men det får jag äta upp, den här morgonen och förmiddagen har varit väldigt slitsamt. Så nu nu blir det att vila ett litet tag, kroppen blir helt slut. Varje gång jag hostar det kraftigaste jag klarar av, strålar det från nacken upp i huvudet. Då känns det nästan som huvudet ska explodera. The most common things to look out for are “blue” or “rainbow” plants especially hosts, elephant ears, and succulents. These usually aren’t real. These scams are common on sites like Etsy, but you’ll even find these scams on websites like Amazon or Walmart. People don’t realize many of the products on those sites are from third party sellers that have no affiliation to a reputable company. They might ship you something, but it will not be legit, and could even be an invasive plant. #hosta #gardening #plants #garden

Weil der Wurzelballen so kompakt ist und mehrere Austriebspunkte hat. Jeder Teil wächst einfach weiter, als wäre nichts gewesen 🌱 Und genau so easy funktioniert das auch mit: Taglilien, Storchschnabel und Fetthenne 💚 Dann nochmal teilen, zwei Stücke in einen Topf – und plötzlich sieht alles wieder voll und kompakt aus 🙃 Aber: Nicht jede Staude verzeiht das… Astilbe, Heuchera, Phlox und Herbst-Anemone lockere ich ein bisschen auf bevor ich sie teile. There is a sweet spot in early to mid Spring when you can divide your hostas for the optimal aesthetic. You can technically divide them at anytime, they are super hardy, but if you divide them after the leaf has unfurled, they definitely won’t look as nice, and will take a season to recover. You want to divide them just as the eye buds emerge, but before the leaves start to unfurl. Dig out the clump and it’s entirety leaving at least 6 inches on the outside. Using a garden knife or sharp spade cut into desired sections, being as careful as possible to not cut too much of the roots or damage an eye. You will inevitably lose a few, but don’t sweat it. They spread like crazy and you won’t even notice. I like around 12 to 16 eyes per clump. Soak the clumps in water while you dig your new holes. Place your hosta clump in the hole and backfill like you would normally plant. You can backfill with fertilizer and compost, but my spring list is so long that I’m just trying to get things done as quickly as possible. I’ve found hostas to be incredibly hardy and transplant very well. Make sure to water everything in really well. Divide and transplant every few years for healthy, happy hostas #hosta #hostagarden #hostas #dividinghostas #springgardening

😋Hornveilchenliebe🌸 Gestern hab ich die erste Hornveilchen" palette" ergattert, um meine Hosta Körbe und Töpfe etwas aufzuhübschen- wie im letzten Jahr auch diese Moosfläche einen Blümchenrahmen erhielt. Diese hatte ich als Plattform für ein Lichthaus verwendet, und interim durfte der weiße Wabenhase darauf Platz finden🤭 Um gute Pflanzerde und Gewicht zu sparen, hab ich einfach etwas Wurzelballen der eingegangenen Heide als Füllmaterial verwendet.
