CHHERE IS WHAT IT MEANS👇🏼
For the longest time, I thought a “good” Disney day meant doing as much as humanly possible.
Rope drop.
Stack the Lightning Lanes.
No breaks.
Stay until fireworks no matter what.
And we were exhausted.
Then I started thinking about the 80/20 rule — the idea that 20% of what you do creates 80% of the results.
So I asked myself:
What is the 20% of Disney that actually creates the magic for my kids?
And it wasn’t the packed schedule.
It was:
✨ the one ride they talked about all day
✨ the Mickey ice cream bar at 10am
✨ sitting on the hub grass and talking about our favorite moments of the day
✨ the hotel pool at night after the fun day full of smiles
✨ leaving before everyone melted down
That’s it. That’s our 20%.
And once I started planning around that instead of trying to “do it all,” everything changed.
Fewer meltdowns
Less rushing
More smiles
More memories they actually talk about when we get home
You don’t need 12 rides, every character, and a perfect touring plan to have a magical trip.
You need the moments your family will remember.
