I used to work at one of the top plaintiff-side employment law firms in the country and quickly learned we should all be building an FU Fund. I first heard this term from JL Collins, the author of a Simple Path to Wealth.
Why? Because financial independence is something we should all strive for to help build security and stability in good times & especially in bad times.
If the last three years hasn’t taught us that I don’t know what will. I wouldn’t bank on an employer’s good graces as my safety net.
An FU Fund means saying FU to anything or anyone that steals your peace & all it takes is one new manager or coworker to ruin a perfectly fine work environment.
So don’t ever get so comfortable that you forget to CYA because I GUARANTEE you your boss & your company is doing just that.
