Yesterday I visited one of the biggest data centers in Europe! 🌍 Microsoft’s Dublin data center powers cloud services and AI services for businesses, governments and organisations across Ireland, the UK and much of Northern Europe. Hyperscale data centers like this one can host tens of thousands, and sometimes even hundreds of thousands of servers! What I found insane wasn’t actually the number of servers, it was the huge amount of infrastructure (power, cooling, etc) that helps to keep this data center running. Most data centers: • Small: 1–10 MW • Medium: 10–50 MW • Large: 50–100 MW • Hyperscale: 100 MW+ 142 MW = way past large scale What that actually means: • Powering ~100,000+ homes worth of energy • Tens of thousands of servers running nonstop • Dedicated substation-level infrastructure This isn’t a server room… it’s industrial compute infrastructure.

Saya menyampaikan bahwa Indonesia merupakan negara dengan potensi pertumbuhan ekonomi digital yang sangat besar. Tahun 2022 saja sekitar 40% total nilai transaksi ekonomi digital ASEAN berasal dari Indonesia atau mencapai USD 77 Miliar. Pada tahun 2025, diperkirakan nilainya akan berlipat ganda menjadi USD 130 miliar. Ekonomi Digital Indonesia diproyeksikan tumbuh 8 kali lipat dari tahun 2020 sebesar Rp 632T menjadi Rp 4.531T di tahun 2030, dengan persentase kontribusi terhadap GDP meningkat dari 4% menjadi 18%. Sejalan dengan arahan bapak Presiden @jokowi, saya melihat bahwa Indonesia memiliki potensi di bidang data center untuk mendorong ekonomi digital di Indonesia yang termasuk ke dalam 73 proyek potensial yang nilainya mencapai USD 17,8 miliar dari KTT ASEAN. Karena secara keseluruhan, Telkom telah memiliki 30 fasilitas data center (25 domestik & 5 luar negeri) dan tersebar di empat negara (Indonesia, Singapura, Hongkong, dan Timor Leste). Telkom juga mendukung pembangunan data center di Ibu Kota Negara (IKN) Nusantara, yang berada di Sepaku, Kabupaten Penajam Paser Utara, Provinsi Kalimantan Timur dengan menggunakan energi yang terbarukan (renewable energy), ramah lingkungan dan mengadopsi sistem multi-tier.
