These have been a staple conditioning session for Hyrox prep for me. I vary the exercises and sometimes for longer duration but this tempo (heart rate or RPE based) sessions main aim is to build aerobic capacity below race pace. It shouldn't be a hard to recover from session and for reference I kept HR between 80-87% of my max. Adjusting pace and breaking up work if required to stay within range. Not just the numbers but doing it consistently. Truly embracing the #hybridathlete Next week I’ll go for PR my Dead Lift(sumo), Back Squat and Bench Press + 25 miles on road 🏃🏾. Note - I’ve dedicated more time to stretching, sleep and nutrition. These are the not exciting part and don’t get as much love on social media but those are the 🔑 components that make this possible. 🐐♑️

Every. Single. Time. Not because it was easy, but because it mattered. Was it challenging? Absolutely. Was it worth it? Without a doubt. Would I do it again? In a heartbeat.❤️ Ngeliat lagi ke belakang, wow banget ya Kalau dipikir-pikir idup gue 11 minggu waktu itu. Ngejalanin latihan HYROX sambil kerja full time dan jadi ibu 3 anak. The warm up is the most skipped part of HYROX prep and it’s costing athletes more than they realise. Here’s why it matters: 1. A cold body makes your first run significantly harder than it needs to be — Without a proper warm up your heart rate spikes harder, your legs feel heavier and your pace feels more uncomfortable than it should. A warm body hits that first run in control and that difference carries through the entire race. 2. The stations need to be primed before you perform them under fatigue — A few practice reps of each key movement before the race means your body knows exactly what to do from rep one when it actually counts rather than playing catch up through the first half of the station. 3. A good warm up gets your head into race mode — Race morning adrenaline without a physical outlet makes your early pacing erratic. Moving through a structured warm up gives that energy somewhere to go and helps you arrive at the start line feeling in control rather than wired. Ten to fifteen minutes of intentional warm up is one of the simplest performance upgrades available to any HYROX athlete.
