I recorded this today, in Portland, Oregon, at a huge march to the ICE facility in SW. The crowd was full of cyclists (including me) who had ridden there in memory of Alex Pretti; members of dozens of labor unions; and ordinary citizens of every age, including this little girl. So of course ICE deployed tear gas. UPDATE: For the folks saying "don't take your kids to protests ... This was an hours-long, daytime protest, with thousands of people of all ages, including members of dozens of labor unionsโ€”much like the No Kings rallies, which were completely peaceful and family-friendly. Nobody had any reason to expect being tear-gassed yesterday. I certainly didn't. And for the first 2+ hours, everything was perfectly fine. It was only after we marched to the ICE facility a few blocks away that things got violent, and the violence came 100% from ICE. Almost immediately they tossed gas canisters and flash-bangs indiscriminately into a crowd that included ordinary Portlanders of all kinds, including seniors using canes and walkers and, yes, children. This is on the ICE agents. Period. If your first impulse on seeing a video of a hurting little girl is to blame her parents, congratulationsโ€”I'm sure that's exactly what the ICE agents were thinking when they gassed her.

I came here LEGALLY in 2022 on an F-1 visa and went to college, graduated then got the OPT work visa where I worked and paid taxes to the US. I married my husband in 2024. In November 2025 I spent 9 days in ICE detention and it was the worst days of my life. My case was eventually terminated because I had filed the necessary paperwork with USCIS (Iโ€™m married to a US citizen, thatโ€™s why we were at our green card interview) The whole experience was beyond traumatic. I am diabetic TYPE 1 and was denied insulin to a point where my blood sugar went over 500. I was near losing my life. While I was in detention an agent or guard stole my credit card and started using it WHILE I WAS STILL IN THERE. Iโ€™ve provided proof of this in my interview with Hawaiian news KITW. Thereโ€™s so much to share. Iโ€™ll continue to share my story for those who are too scared to speak up, and hopefully there will be repercussions for the human rights violations that happened. Please follow along and never stop caring for each other! I was detained with women from Canada, Australia, the UK, Spain, Mexico, Japan, Romania and other countries. None of us have any criminal history. #ice #immigration #volleyball #t1d #humanrights

Mamdani is taking the fight directly to the feds. By confronting the Border Czar over the detention of New Yorkers without charge, heโ€™s making one thing clear: NYC will not go quietly. But with Homan threatening to 'triple down' on sanctuary cities, is a federal takeover next? This video is a clip from the animated series South Park, set inside a child detention center and framed to satirize the confusion and bureaucratic behavior of ICE agents when a Jewish American child is detained alongside immigrant children. In the scene, Kyle Broflovski and several other children are held inside a high-security facility surrounded by chain-link fencing, where an ICE agent hands out sheets of aluminum foil to be used as blankets. Another agent begins a roll call, reading names such as โ€œMartinezโ€ and โ€œAguilarโ€ until he calls โ€œBroflovski,โ€ prompting Kyle to answer. The agents pause, question whether the name is Salvadoran, and react with visible shock when Kyle explains that he is Jewish, underscored by a dramatic musical sting. Kyle adds that he is only there because someone did not want him around, and the other children echo similar reasons. The agents then panic, realizing they need to remove Kyle quickly out of concern that people might find out, reinforcing the sceneโ€™s satirical focus on dehumanization, systemic errors, and misplaced priorities within the detention process.

๐Ÿ˜ฒ Driveways freeze in winter because moisture from rain, melting snow, or frost seeps into tiny cracks and pores in the surface, then temperatures drop below freezing. As the water turns to ice, it expands and spreads across the driveway, creating a slick layer. Shaded areas, poor drainage, and materials like concrete or asphalt that retain cold make this more likely, allowing ice to form and persist even when surrounding ground appears dry. โ„๏ธ Yamato: Guardian of the Arctic ๐ŸŒŠ The Arctic was a blinding expanse of white and fractured blue ice. Yamato, a magnificent, snow-white warrior built like a mountain, stood sentinel on the edge of the floe. He wasn't human, nor animal, but the very spirit of the cold, his eyes the deep, endless blue of the polar night sky. He was the appointed Guardian of the Arctic, sworn to protect the fragile life within its domain. A young polar bear cub, barely a year old and still clumsy on the slick ice, had wandered too far. Drawn by the scent of a distant seal colony, the cub decided to bravely swim across a treacherous channel of open water. The swim was short, but the danger was ancient and immense. A shadow, vast and dark, moved beneath the icy water. It wasn't the familiar orca or Greenland shark; this was a primordial terror. It was a Megalodon, somehow surviving in the cold depths, a ghost from a warmer age, its massive jaws lined with serrated teeth, each the size of a man's hand. The cub cried out in a terrified squeal as the colossal shark surged upwards, a churning wave of black water and blinding white belly. Yamato saw the attack instantly. With a roar that cracked the silence and echoed across the ice shelves, he moved. He didn't swim; he willed the ice to his aid. Leaping onto a thick, jutting spire of ice, he focused his immense power. The ice under the Megalodon's path buckled and fractured. A huge, jagged shard of glacial blue ice, as sharp and long as a spear, shot out from the water, narrowly missing the cub but striking the Megalodon's tough snout with the force of a battering ram. The giant shark bellowed a soundless, underwater explosion of rage and pain. It recoiled, momentarily stunned, its attention diverted from the small, defenseless prey to the powerful entity that had dared to wound it. Yamato, without hesitation, plunged into the freezing water. He seized the paralyzed cub gently by the scruff of its neck and, with a few powerful, ice-breaking strokes, propelled them back toward the safety of the main ice floe. The Megalodon, its chance lost, circled once, a massive, vengeful shape beneath the surface, before deciding the fight..

Snow is a form of precipitation made of tiny ice crystals that form in clouds when water vapor freezes. These crystals join together into flakes and fall gently to the ground when the air temperature is cold enough. It covers surfaces in a soft white layer and changes how people move and interact with their surroundings. Snow is commonly seen in colder regions during winter seasons, on roads, sidewalks, rooftops, and open land. Because it is soft and compressible, every step leaves a visible footprint that records movement and direction. In the video, a man observes the earlier footprints and exaggerates them, interpreting the stride as dramatic and โ€œvillain-like,โ€ then imitates the imagined personality through posture and laughter. The environment itself encourages playful interpretation because the marks remain clearly visible. Moments like this matter because humans naturally assign stories to patterns they see. A simple trail in snow becomes a character, and imitation becomes a shared social joke that reduces tension in cold, quiet environments. It shows how people transform ordinary conditions into creativity and connection through observation and mimicry.
