The letter is: ऌ (Ḷ / L̥) What’s wild is: every Indian script has its own symbol for it — ऌ | ঌ | ᬍ | ಌ | ഌ | 𑐈 …but scholars still debate its real pronunciation. One side argues the flow of the Maheshvara Sūtras supports a certain sound: aiuṇ–ṛl̥k… The other side argues Sanskrit always keeps unique sounds for unique letters, so this vowel must have a distinct pronunciation too. And the only word where it appears is: कॢप्त (kḷpta / kl̥pta) = arranged / prepared. 👇 So what do you think? kḷpta or kl̥pta?
