My inflammation marker — hs-CRP — came back less than 0.2. That’s essentially zero. Year after year And I want to tell you what I do because it’s genuinely embarrassing how boring it is. 1. I EAT MORE THAN YOU THINK I’m a nutritional therapist and I’ll say it plainly: under-eating is one of the fastest ways to wreck your hormones, spike your cortisol, and guarantee cravings by 3pm. What I actually do: ∙ Protein early — leftovers with an egg, no apology ∙ Protein again at lunch — same boring formula ∙ Dinner on repeat: protein + veggie + carb + sauce Not restriction. Nourishment. There’s a difference. 2. I LIFT AND I WALK. BOTH. EVERY WEEK. Not to be small. To be strong at 45 and functional at 65. Lifting because muscle is anti-inflammatory, protects your metabolism, and makes perimenopause significantly less brutal. Walking because it lowers blood sugar, reduces cortisol, improves sleep, and costs nothing. 2-3 days of lifting. Daily walks. That’s the whole movement plan. 3. I PROTECT MY SLEEP LIKE IT’S MEDICAL Because it is. Sleep is when your body repairs inflammation, regulates hunger hormones, and processes stress. You cannot out-supplement a sleep deficit. Consistent bedtime. Phone out of bed. Here’s the actual secret though: I’m not consistent because I’m motivated. I’m consistent because I have a system that works on my worst week — not just my best one. Never miss twice. That’s the whole rule.
