 And yes… it actually works faster than you’d think. Here’s what’s I know: 
✅ Instagram shows you the topics it thinks you’re into (based on recent scrolling) 
✅ You can remove topics that don’t fit you anymore + add new ones 
✅ You can also tell it what you want to see less of 
Translation: 
The algorithm is getting more personal… and you can finally stop being haunted by that one random rabbit hole you fell into at 1am (hence why my first clip was a dog video) 😅. How to use this as a creator/business owner: 
If Instagram is personalization-obsessed in 2026, your content has to be obvious about what it’s about. 
Because when IG can’t classify you fast… it won’t distribute you far. Pro tip: These topic tools aren’t perfect (Meta still mislabels stuff sometimes), but the direction is clear:
