KAInstagram just added a new repost feature to the main feed, and itโs bringing a subtle shift to how we can share content.
Youโll now see a little repost icon (like two arrows in a square ๐) under reels and posts.
When you tap it, it will repost to your Instagram profile a feed. You can also choose to add some thoughts. Your Instagram reposts will show up in a brand new Reposts tab on your profile.
It took a few minutes to appear on mine, so if you donโt see it straight away (or at all), you might not have the update yet. Instagram often rolls these things out slowly.
This feels like another little move toward curated content ecosystems, a small change, but one that could shape how we engage and connect there.
โจ How to repost on Instagram (2025 update):
1. Tap the repost icon (two arrows like this ๐) under any public post or reel
2. Add some written thoughts if youโd like
3. Your repost will appear in a new โRepostsโ tab on your profile grid
4. You can remove it anytime from your profile
Itโs a small shift but could be useful especially for content-sharing, collaborations, or spotlighting othersโ work with ease, much like how we repost content that aligns with us on TikTok (and Instagram stories) at the moment.
