For “no reason” fatigue, no matter what you do ….perimenopause or menopause, or simply aging, stress etc can leave you with unwanted symptoms and an extra layer around your waist& a whole lot of comparison of who we used to be” ! first, let’s set that to the side. Your body was different when you were 20 and even 30 maybe your body is 35. Maybe you’ve had kids maybe you have it maybe it’s just the stress of life but you cannot compare your body to a previous body you had you have to have a new set of goals! I promise you they will be much better than you can imagine if you stay focused! what look at three things you can start right now! if you want to achieve a lean, toned, and fit appearance in your late 30s 40s and beyond! 1. Stop searching online for body composition tips. Skip the endless scrolling and learn directly from an expert. I coach my clients and provide them with the knowledge they need to fuel their bodies and overcome many of the plateau that they may face ! 2. Stop doing random workouts. YouTube classes can lead to unpredictable results. Your favorite group workouts might be causing stress. Look for a program designed for women over 35 that emphasizes strength training and muscle building. And stick with it! Give yourself some time and remember not to prepare this time to the last time! Every journey in your health will be different.! 3. Stop eating “healthy” #Intuitively and start being more intentional. Focus on protein, fiber and choose the right carbs. DONT be afraid to track your meals briefly.!! This isn’t about restricting—it’s about education. You’ll need to live a bit more intentionally, and that’s perfectly okay! Have gotten this question numerous times from followers— “Pointing my kid back to intuition is all well and good in theory, but my kid is diagnosed with ADHD and struggles with cravings for increased sugar. What do I do then?” And let’s be clear what I’m not saying in this video is that every child diagnosed with ADHD struggles with this. But I do think it deserves to be addressed so that we can guide our children who are struggling with this particular aspect back to intuition. The first and most important point—it’s good to teach them to connect to what their body is cuing that it is needing. In this case, it’s looking for a dopamine boost. If your child is old enough, you can even discuss dopamine and the boost it gives. For younger kids , you can discuss it simpler terms , ie. the burst of happiness they are looking for. But let’s be clear— sugar is not bad, honestly it gets a bad rap. When we boil sugar down to its basic form, its energy for our bodies. There is a place for sugar in our kids’ lives. What we’re working to steer clear of is over consuming any one type of food. Living off of vegetables is not good for the body, living off of sugar is the same. So we can talk about balance with kids that need an extra little description regarding intuition. In that discussion with balance, you can relate it back to the specific food group— if we just ate more sugar, which is a quick form of energy, our body might need some protein, which will help build up muscles. There’s a place for everything in our lives. I call this gently guiding your kid in intuitive eating principles. It can be helpful specifically with our kids whose brains are more wired to crave the dopamine kicks, specifically a child with ADHD. Food really is our medicine or it can be our poison.... We learnt so so much So here my biggest take aways ( well no take aways obviously😂) #foraging - May is a great time to collect elderflower spam in water for a great digestive infusion Sticky weeds in water help #lymphaticdrainage drainage #probiotics home@ade @chefvanessamarx is steeping pineapple skins to make a fab digestive aid 🍽️ prioritising eating mindfully at a table witb others massively improves our digestive process. We have good happy hormones aiding digestion rather than stress hormones when we eat at a desk or over a laptop 🤩making food look good and celebrating our ingredients, colours etc. Helps us absorb more nutrients 🍐🍎🍆 eat the rainbow and #intuitively feel what you are drawn to ( not a Kit Kat hopefully) but fruit/veg etc it may indicate nutrients you need ✅ spirulina ( been my regular smoothie addition Adds Vitamins A , B and Magnesium often what we are lacking, reduces blood sugar, high in antioxidants it packs a punch or two👊🏽 More retreats to come let us know in comments below what you'd like to know/learn. Looking forward to bread making!!! Yes I who have feared bread for years after I was told I was gluten intolerant..... #praying/ blessing our food with a figure of 8 before eating it. Let's talk about this conference... it's definitely not your typical conference. It involved movement, energy, emotions, strength, wisdom, strategies, connection, conversations, and so much more. The venue, the view, the speakers, the nutritious lunch, the safe space, and permission for all who attended to really intuitively tune into themselves and analyze where they want to be in the next year. Now, every single attendee has the tools to take the embodied approach to achieve those goals. On a more personal note; for me, this was an emotional one. This is not my first time participating in events that Cynthia & The UniqueFemme team have offered. The exercise we did to pull identify our fears, and share them with someone and to be held in a safe space, well it really got to me. I almost didn't participate because I knew I would cry. But I did it, I bawled, and I bawled, and I got some fresh air and some food, and I bawled again. On and off all day, I have been moving through a lot of big emotions. Was I embarrassed? Yup. (So many people looking at my beet red, puffy face 🫣) Was I ashamed? Nope. It was such a safe space I could feel the energy radiating off the people around me. This whole experience was truly one of a kind. If you are a #snickerdoodlecookie human you will love these #holidaycookies 🤤 As always I like recipes that are #inclusive which means no matter what way of eating you align with & #intuitively makes you feel your best I have a swap for you! #thereisnoonewaytodoit ✊ Here is my #chocolatesnickerdoodledelights Ingredients: 1 1/4cups flour ( use almond or #glutenfreeflour ) as needed 1/4 cup dark #cacaopowder ( use cocoa if that fits your budget 💰 better 😊) 1 tsp baking soda 1 tsp salt 10 tbsp of butter 🧈 ghee, or coconut 🥥 butter 3/4 cup granular sugar of choice ( cane, monkfruit, white, etc) 1/4 brown sugar or date sugar 1 tsp vanilla 2 large eggs 🥚 or 2 flax eggs I/4 sanding sugar ( I used golden sanding sugar) 2 tbsp ground cinnamon Mix all dry ingredients in a bowl Beat all wet ingredients Mix them together and put 1 healing tbsp 🥄 of dough in your hand 🤚 and roll into balls Roll balls onto a plate of the #cinnamonsugar mixture Bake on a lined or greased or nonstick baking sheet (use what ya got babes 😉) and bake for 15 min. Let cool & dunk into milk 🥛 of choice Enjoy!
