Just let the kids wear whatever shoes they are used to and you’ll be much happier. The big hiking boots usually weigh quite a bit more and will make your kid more tired. You don’t need to buy new camping gear. In this economy, you are much better off searching Facebook marketplace! This is what we’ve got most of our gear and it’s lasted us quite a while! It’s gonna get dirty anyway anyways so it doesn’t need to be new. If there is gear, you want to save up for, by all means go for! You can always use discount codes!
