Nothing kills #motivation worse than doubt that the end result is worth it (that's science!) How's your semester going? If you're an #engineeringstudent struggling with staying focused and motivated, especially given how life is lately, just know that Life Gets BETTER after #graduating And while the skills needed to land jobs are wildly different than the skills needed to study #engineering if you're smart enough to study engineering, I guarantee you're smart enough to learn jobs skills too. The best way to get started is with internships in college. You can find my resources for landing a co-op or #internship in my link in bio.

How does the delay between seeing and hearing an explosion explain fundamental physics? During controlled detonations, light from the blast reaches observers almost instantly because it travels at approximately 3×10⁸ m/s, while sound waves move much slower through air at around 343 m/s. This time gap creates the familiar effect where the flash appears before the boom. In mining and construction, this principle is critical for calculating distances, sequencing detonations, and ensuring safety protocols. Engineers analyze wave propagation, material response, and timing intervals to control energy release and minimize risk. The phenomenon demonstrates how wave speeds differ across mediums, turning a simple observation into a practical application of physics in real-world engineering operations. Comment "EBOOK" below and I’ll DM you the link to my FREE eBook on building income streams outside your 9–5. Over-engineering a product with excessive technology and automation can completely ruin the core user experience it was originally designed to provide. In this satirical commercial comparing an Alfa Romeo to heavily automated electric vehicles (like Tesla), a driver named Eric is shown aggressively arguing with his car's AI system just to start his morning commute. The car repeatedly asks him for his destination and route preferences, misunderstanding his sarcastic request to drive "through China" by actually loading a 15,000-mile route and switching to a foreign language. As Eric frantically tries to abort the trip and begs the car to simply take him to work, the AI misinterprets his frustration, engaging the climate control system and activating "relaxation music" in response to his rising stress levels. Trapped in a vehicle that refuses to just let him drive, the commercial ends with a poignant tagline: "It might be your last chance to drive." Innovation should remove friction, not create it. When you build a product or design a service, you must ensure that your "smart" features actually serve the customer, rather than creating an overly complex barrier between them and the simple task they are trying to accomplish. 👉🏻 Follow @aipulze Engineering. AI. Systems that never sleep. It looks brutal. It is actually preventative engineering. Laser cutting melts steel at extreme temperatures. Molten metal drops through the serrated bed. Some of it solidifies and builds up between the spikes. Ignore it and the table warps. Ignore it and accuracy drifts. Ignore it and downtime gets expensive. So they crush it. Break the residue. Reset the surface. Protect the next thousand cuts. Precision is not just about lasers. It is about maintenance discipline. This video is a classic demonstration of relative motion and frames of reference. The short answer: Both are true, depending on who is watching. The Physics Breakdown Relative to the car (Inertial Frame): The drone is stopped. Because it is inside the car, it shares the car’s velocity. The air inside the car is also moving at 100 km/h along with the vehicle, so the drone's sensors and motors only need to work to maintain a hover relative to that internal pocket of air. Relative to the road (External Frame): The drone is traveling at 100 km/h. If a person were standing on the side of the highway watching the car pass, they would see the drone zipping by at the exact same speed as the car. Why doesn't it hit the back window? When the car is moving at a constant velocity, Newton’s First Law applies: an object in motion stays in motion. Since the drone was already inside the car when it reached that speed, it possesses the same inertia as the car. Note: If the driver were to slam on the brakes or accelerate suddenly, the drone would move relative to the car because its inertia would try to keep it moving at the previous constant speed while the car changed its state of motion. #Physics #ScienceFacts #Drones #RelativeMotion #Engineering

Samsung didn’t dominate OLED by launching the most phones. It dominated by controlling production. Years before OLED became mainstream, Samsung invested heavily in fabrication facilities, yield optimization, and materials research. OLED manufacturing is complex. Low yields destroy margins. Precision scaling decides profitability. By solving these production constraints early, Samsung became the primary supplier of high-end OLED panels — even for competitors. When other brands design a flagship device, many still rely on Samsung’s displays. This is vertical integration at the component level. Control the critical part. Control the market. Real dominance isn’t built through marketing. It’s built through infrastructure. #engineering #semiconductor #supplychain #techinfrastructure #systems

It’s called an oloid. Paul Schatz discovered it in 1929 while studying how to turn a cube inside out. Two circles, perpendicular, linked like a chain. The center of each circle sits exactly on the edge of the other. When you roll it, something unexpected happens. Every single point on its surface makes contact with the ground during a full rotation. No other shape does this. Not a sphere. Not a cylinder. Just this skeletal beauty. The motion isn’t clean. It wobbles. It sways. The center of mass rises and falls. Yet it rolls in a perfectly straight line. The oloid’s rolling creates laminar flow without vortices. That means gentle, thorough mixing without damaging what’s inside. Wastewater treatment plants use it. Pharmaceutical manufacturers use it. Anywhere you need to blend something without destroying it, the oloid is working quietly in the background. Sometimes Innovation Is Not High-Tech, It Is High-Understanding. This Simple String Technique Demonstrates How Mechanical Locks On Older Vehicles Can Be Manipulated By Looping Around A Manual Lock Knob Through The Door Seal. The Principle Is Pure Physics. A Flexible Loop Slips Past The Weather Stripping, Tightens Around The Lock, And Applies Upward Force With Precision. No Electronics. No Tools. Just Leverage And Control. It Only Works On Specific Older Designs With Exposed Vertical Lock Knobs. Modern Vehicles With Shielded Mechanisms And Electronic Locks Are Built To Prevent This. Why It Matters: Understanding How Systems Work, And Where They Are Vulnerable, Is The First Step Toward Better Design And Stronger Security.
