I often ask myself how I ended up here at 69—being chosen by brands and travel agencies when they have millions of influencers to choose from. The answer is something every woman needs to hear: it is because no one else has your story, your voice, or your life experience. For years, many of us believed it was “too late,” but we were actually just getting started. This moment in Napa at the @meritageresort is proof of what is possible for all of us. You don’t age out; you level up. If you have been waiting for a sign to pursue something new, let this be it. Thank you @meritageresort for a wonderful time spent with some incredible women who made me laugh every day we were together! @joplacencio @karisrenee @karinastylediaries @ourwritesmatter #travelblogger #WomenOver50 #ageisjustanumber❤️ #meritageresort #ItsNotTooLate

I’ve done network marketing before. And if I’m honest… I nearly didn’t do it again. The support was there — but not like this. The product was good — but it didn’t light me up. And half the time I felt like I was winging it. Now? This is different. This is travel. Actual holidays. Experiences. Something people already love and spend money on. And the support? Night and day. I’m in my 50s. I’m not faffing about anymore. If I’m building something, it has to make sense. It has to have proper training. Proper backing. And something I’m genuinely proud to talk about. If you’re over 50 and you’ve tried something before and thought, “Maybe this just isn’t for me…” I get it. But sometimes it’s not you. It’s just that you hadn’t found the right fit yet. If you’re curious, follow me. And have a look at my stories — I’ve put the link there 💛 #womenover50 #womenover50business #midlifereinvention #secondactcareer #over50andfabulous

If I would have known this 14 years ago when I turned 30, I probably could have avoided a lot of pain and suffering. Every time I was mad at someone for failing me, broken-hearted for passing on me or not loving me the way I wanted and deserved to be loved…. I rightly allowed myself feel that pain. However, I didn’t put any effort or energy into learning how to free myself from those feelings, so that led to me staying on a negative feedback loop which then led to isolation, lower self confidence, endless worry and sadness. I had been so preoccupied with external validation and approval that I didn’t realize I was wasting my time ruminating for weeks, months, and years. If I knew then what I know now, I would have learned how to love myself deeply. That would have looked like taking my heartbreak, my unclarified sense of self, my unhealed parts, my sorrows and disappointments straight to Higher Power, supplemented by talk therapy. I would have kept looking for a new therapist right away after stopping sessions with the one who suggested I try out for American Idol, instead of feeling turned off and waiting years to find a therapist who I connected with. I would have asked my new therapist to move beyond the resentments and grievances I had for the unhealed folks in my life. I would have gone back to school WAY, way sooner. I will say things unfolded in way that ultimately I am happy with and I’m not often regretful. There’s a beauty and calm in overcoming adversity at an older age that I really value. But every now and then, I just think… what if I had done all of that healing sooner? I guess we’ll never know what might have played out, but if you’re reading this, really at any age, I want you to know it is NOT too late for you! It’s not too late to get what you want. It’s not too late to heal. It’s not too late to build a future for yourself that feels life-giving and sustainable. Always here cheering you on, Melissa #itsnottoolate #thebestisyettocome #walkbyfaithandnotbysight #Godwill #trusttheprocess #stepoutonfaith

New chapter…🥹🤍👇 POV: You’re starting again and….coming back even stronger than before. 💥✨ Double tap ❤️ if you can relate. In this audio, writer Josie Balka says in an excerpt: “So you’re starting again, again…and probably thinking you’re too old for redos… and too tired for beginnings… ….you wish that you had started over earlier… ….I hope you because of that never stop starting over….“ And at the end, the part that stuck with me most was when she says: “Starting over can start anywhere and it can look like anything…. starting again doesn’t have to be everything from scratch… it can also be a small piece of your life you decided to knock over… and bring back stronger than before…” 🥹💛🙌 Here are 3 things to remember. 💛 Embrace progress. It may be slow but it still counts as growth. 💛 Trust yourself. You know the path and you will get there when you’re ready. 💛 Don’t rush. Remember to breathe and recognize the hard work you’re doing. 🤗 Remember you’re not too old, it’s not too late. 💪 Keep going and sending love to you. ❤️ Save this, repost and share with someone else who needs it. 👉 Follow me for more relatable posts, daily support and to stay informed from a writer, journalist and advocate. One of the biggest lies women hear about midlife is that it’s “too late”. Too late to start something new. Too late to learn digital skills. Too late to change your financial future. But every single day another woman in midlife decides to start rebuilding. Learning new skills. Creating income streams. Building stability for the next chapter of her life. The real question isn’t: “Is it too late?” The real question is: What happens if you never start? If you’d like to learn how I rebuilt my income online in midlife, COMMENT REBUILD and I’ll send you the FREE video that explains everything. #MidlifeRebuild #WomenOver50 #GenXWomen #ItsNotTooLate #MidlifeConfidence

I went back to study at age 44. It would have been very easy to talk myself out of it, to tell myself it was too late, too impractical or not the “right” time. But honestly, none of that even featured. What I remember most is the excitement! When I booked my spot on that first course, “Anatomy & Physiology”, the foundation for any health-related study, I didn’t have a master plan or a clear endpoint. I just knew my brain felt awake again and that was exciting. After years immersed in child-rearing, that spark mattered. More than I realised at the time. It wasn’t too late. And it turned out to be one of the most important decisions I’ve made (one of them, there have been a few!). Having something you care about, something that stretches you and gives you purpose, has a profound impact on your health, your confidence and how you show up in your life. This reset isn’t only about food or movement. It’s also about stepping out of autopilot and towards the things that matter to you. Of course, there were practical considerations. There always are. For me, choosing a college that fitted around the school run made all the difference. My study days became non-negotiable, sacred, even! This course was on a Monday and I spent Sundays genuinely excited for the next day. Who looks forward to a Monday? I did! One step led to the next. Six years later, I graduated with a Master’s in Personalised Nutrition. So, if you’ve been quietly wondering whether it’s too late to begin again, I can’t say this clearly enough. It isn’t. Follow the spark! Start small and make it workable. #healthreset #itsnottoolate #followyourdream #themayway #growthmindset

If you aren’t exactly where you want to be, there’s a lesson you’re still learning. This delay isn’t meant to be punishment or some type of twisted torture. No, it’s allowing you to build all the resources you need to propel your success. The truth is, you’re already moving in the direction you want to go. Just because the progress isn’t as fast as you’d like doesn’t mean it isn’t happening. You’re learning how to navigate life your own way. There is no blueprint on how to live your unique life. It’s never been done before. You can have all the mentors and guidance in the world, but they aren’t you. Your mentors give you advice based on their lived experiences. You still have to decide how these recommendations fit into the context of your life. Please believe that in time, you’ll get where you need to be. So many of us give up when there’s any sign of struggle. Your setbacks do not mean you’re a failure. Your setbacks aren’t a sign to quit. Your setbacks do not mean you’re on a mistaken path. Your setbacks are not an indication that you’re the wrong person for the job. If you’re moving forward in five steps but take four steps backward, you are still moving forward. Do not quit.  Words: @ranianaim Video: @more.gentle.reminders
