2021
A lot can change in 5 years
It’s not as bad as it looks, but
it’s definitely more difficult to get a job now.
Potential reasons:
- the global economy is not growing as much as in 2021
- there’s less funding for startups —> less demand for projects
- Al took over some of the tech work
- layoffs from companies put more developers “on the market” looking for a job
- companies and more cautious in general with hiring
What can we do?
- stick to our current jobs / clients before trying anything crazy
- learn Al tools and use them often. to stav competitive
be willing to put in some extra hours for personal projects or freelancing gigs
- stay optimistic and connect with like-minded people
