TSThis tune is called When I Fall In Love. It has some challenges to it. Firstly, there are the obvious fast turn arounds. But because the fast ones work with dominant seventh chords and substitute dominant chords, you can mostly improvise every note over it. But you have to catch a good ending. The second biggest challenge in this tune is to catch the right ending. They both start the same, but then take different turns. Those challenges are worth taking on, you have to be on the edge of your seat and really focus to catch everything you want to catch. Good practice for good concentration.

TSThis tune is called West Coast Blues. As the name suggests, it is a Blues. It has the traditional telve bar form, but there are many twists to it. First of all, the bar lenght is 6/4. And then, changes in the improvisation are far away from the traditional Blues form. There are many chromatic II-Vs that bring you through the form. Almost the only thing that stays the same in the impro chorus is the characteristic whole tone step down in the second bar. So instead of playing the IV7 chord there, you play the bVII7 chord. This comes in both the impro chorus and the melody chorus.
