One line of code. Your app comes alive. This is the moment it stops being theory. You've got the skeleton. Empty div sitting there. Nothing inside. Just a shell waiting for something real. Time to change that. Every app needs a title. Something at the top that tells users what they're looking at. A heading. So let's add one. Inside that div, you type one element: h2. Open tag. Your text. Close tag. Done. But what actually is h2? It's a heading element. HTML gives you six levels of headings. H1 is the biggest and most important. Usually reserved for main page titles. H6 is the smallest. Barely louder than regular text. H2 sits at level two. Second in command. Perfect for app titles and section headers. Not screaming for attention. Not whispering either. Just right. Here's the pattern you'll use for almost every element in React: Open tag. Content. Close tag. That's it. For our heading it's: opening h2 tag, the text "todo app" in the middle, closing h2 tag. Three parts. Always the same structure. You'll write this pattern hundreds of times until it becomes automatic. Muscle memory. Now save the file and check the browser. There it is. "Todo app" rendered on screen. You wrote JSX inside a JavaScript file. React took that JSX, converted it to real HTML, and painted it in the browser. What was an empty page now has actual content. Your first real element. Your first visible output. The app is no longer just code sitting in a file. It's something users can actually see. This is the foundation of everything. Every button, every image, every piece of text follows the exact same pattern. Open, content, close. Master this and you can build anything. One element down. Many more to come. But a todo app needs more than a title. Users need to type things. Next reel: we add an input field. This is Reel 7 of 52. Theory phase complete. Building phase begins.
