I’ll be picking up this jump rope more often this summer for the next goals to increase some foot strength and speed. As distance runners, be cautious when you program it into your training plan flow because endurance is your primary goal—more is not always better. Here’s a fun core combo to try:⁣ ⁣ 1️⃣ Lie down in a hollow body position, engaging your core by pulling your belly button toward the floor.⁣ ⁣ 2️⃣ Perform two straight leg v ups.⁣ ⁣ 3️⃣ Keep your core tight as you roll over on to your stomach and do a superman raise.⁣ ⁣ 4️⃣ Roll back onto your back and do two more v ups.⁣ ⁣ 5️⃣ Roll the other direction and do a superman raise.⁣ ⁣ 6️⃣ Roll back and start the entire sequence over.⁣ ⁣ Try to stay as tight as possible the entire time 👊⁣ ⁣ Ways to modify:⁣ ⁣ 🅧 Tuck your knees instead of keeping your legs straight on the v ups⁣ 🅧 Straddle instead of keeping your legs together on the superman raises⁣ ⁣ Have fun!
