This amazing ARP Odyssey was shipped to me for a full restoration. In today’s video I replaced all of the dry and hard key bushings that cause the keybeds action to feel very stiff as well as sound very noisy. After replacing the key bushings this ARPs keybed was nearly inaudible! After that I rebuilt the power supply. On Wednesday I will be posting a part two as well as a demo of this amazing synth! . . . . My voice: I get lots of comments asking why my voice sounds the way it dose, I have a medical condition called GERDS, this condition mainly affects my resting/speaking voice causing it to sound slightly raspy! @korgofficial sent me the arp 2600m to play with and I must say it’s a real gem. I’ve set up a long tape loop with the cv controlled Otari and the cirklon is generating evolving phrases that get added in a sound on sound fashion. It all passes into the revox for tape echo and the @otomachines bam for space. I couldn’t really film myself performing but this is the setup as you’d find it. Tbh the performance ends up being adding pattern density and changing the fx sends on the desk. It was mostly about making the setup run and setting it in motion. I got into a serious mediation. Hope this brings a little space to your day :) thanks to korg. This really is a great remake of the legend !
