While the peeling paint on the upper is to be expected, the reddish stains and yellowing on the sole are absolutely terrible. For some reason, Paranoise sneakers tend to yellow heavily. This time, I’m going to ignore the paint details and focus solely on cleaning. If you’re concerned about this, I recommend gently scrubbing the area with a horsehair Utility Brush.
I removed dirt with foam and scrubbed the reddish stains with Stain Remover. I cleaned the entire shoe thoroughly, leaving no corner untouched. To tackle the yellowing, I cleaned the sole. I scrubbed it vigorously with the brass bristles of the Utility Brush to remove dirt from the grooves and grime caked onto the surface.
I applied Yellow Remover and left it in direct sunlight for about 6 hours. Apply SOLE PLUS 3.0 to the soles to prepare them for heavy wear. Don’t skip the bonding step… Apply Shoe Moisture Mist to nourish the exposed natural leather. Polish to a shine.
Finally, apply Waterproof Spray 2.0 to thoroughly prevent similar stains from forming. The surface dirt is gone, and the Paranoise has been restored to good condition. I’m looking forward to seeing how it ages from here on out.
