Y'all already know I give 2 hours of screen time to my child each week (weekends only 60 mins per day), & I love videos which are interactive & allow response time for kids. Mind you my babies are under 2, but they get hyperfocused on Ms Rachel/ Bluey/Blippi; making it hard to steer them away! Since changing this, they are fine with the TV turning off after the 20-30 min episode. They are overall less stimulated and focus more on hands on/fidget activities, while passively watching. They tend to use it as background noise and this is a response to the calm scenes, less dramatic colours with subtle sound effects and video transitions. A lot of 90’s childhood shows have lower stimulation than today’s shows & movies. I also love the messages and creative exploration a lot of 90’s shows teach children.
