Kubernetes on your resume ≠ Kubernetes in your hands. Here’s the pattern I keep seeing 👇 Tutorial → Demo app → Add to resume → Interview → Freeze And it doesn’t stop there. You join a team. They hand you production. Now you’re underwater. Not because you’re not smart. Because you skipped the foundation. Here’s the path that actually builds confidence: 1️⃣ Learn containers properly. Not just docker run. Understand what a container really is. How isolation works. How images are built in layers. 2️⃣ Understand servers. Processes. Ports. Networking. What actually happens when your app runs on a real machine. 3️⃣ Deploy one real app on one real server. Break it. Fix it. Put real traffic on it. 4️⃣ Now Kubernetes makes sense. Because you understand the problem it solves. Kubernetes is powerful. But it’s powerful because it manages complexity you’re supposed to already understand. If you don’t understand what it’s managing you’re not using Kubernetes. Kubernetes is using you. That’s the difference between listing a skill and owning a skill. Save this if you needed to hear it. #kubernetes #docker #backend #systemdesign #devops

What certification should I take to get into networking? I get this question 20x a week - usually followed by: “I took *this* certification, is this good enough?” So here’s what I would do if I was starting from scratch. 1. Pick a certification path - You could learn the same things ad hoc, but I like that certs provide a dedicated learning path that has been thought out. Net+ and CCNA are both great entry level. 2. Pick a labbing tool - If you’re using an online course, there’s a chance they have an integrated lab. You can also use a sim like PacketTracker or CML, or look for some old gear from eBay or Facebook marketplace. 3. Network like your life depends on it - Your people network is what is going to help you get your foot in the door. Show up to local tech meet ups, join professional industry groups. Ask to shadow, for labs, or mentoring. and above all - don’t give up. We need you 🥺 P.S. if you’re already in industry, what was your first certification? #informationtechnology #networkengineer #networking #workingintech #ccna #ccnp #ciscocert

Comment "DEV" and I’ll send you the links 👇 You don’t need overpriced DevOps courses to truly understand Docker, containers, or Kubernetes. Some of the highest-quality content on container orchestration, Kubernetes architecture, and cloud-native systems is completely free—and often more practical than paid bootcamps. 📌 3 Must-Watch Resources to Learn Docker & Kubernetes Properly: 1️⃣ Kubernetes Crash Course for Absolute Beginners – TechWorld with Nana A super beginner-friendly starting point that walks you through Kubernetes step by step. It covers core concepts like pods, deployments, services, and configuration, while also showing how these pieces fit into real-world DevOps workflows. 2️⃣ Kubernetes Explained – ByteByteGo A clean, visual explanation of how Kubernetes works at a high level. It breaks down clusters, nodes, control planes, and orchestration in a way that’s easy to follow, helping you actually understand what’s going on behind the scenes. 3️⃣ Docker vs Kubernetes – The Coding Gopher A simple but insightful comparison that clarifies the relationship between Docker and Kubernetes. It explains containers, why orchestration is needed, and how both tools are used together in modern scalable systems.

How long does it really take to get certified? Less than you think. ⏳💥 You don’t need a 12-month bootcamp or a $10K course. You need a plan, a schedule—and 90 focused days. 🎯📅 Here’s what most people don’t realize: Certs like CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, even AWS or Azure— are designed for beginners. 👶💻 You can pass them in 3 months (or less) if you commit. 💪 I’ve seen people go from “What’s a server?” to certified in weeks. No tech background. No fancy degree. Just YouTube, practice labs, and relentless consistency. 🔁🎓 I’m not saying it’s easy. I’m saying it’s doable. With the right roadmap, you don’t just study—you strategize. 🧠🗺️ You don’t waste time. You lock in. 2 hours a day. 5 days a week. That’s 120 hours in 3 months. More than enough to pass any entry-level cert. ✅ Because once you’re certified? You stop getting ignored. 📩 You start getting interviews. 🎯 And you finally get your foot in the door. 🚪 So if you’re tired of sitting on the sidelines— Set the clock. ⏰ Pick a cert. 🧾 Get a study guide. 📚 And go all in for 90 days. 🔥 DM me “NETWORK” and I’ll send you a 3-month cert game plan you can start this week. 📥 #GetCertified #CompTIA #AWS #Azure #TechCerts #NoDegreeTech #CloudStarter #CareerSwitch #SelfTaughtTech #90DayPlan #StudyStrategy #TechReady
