Honestly one of the most beautiful experiences I’ve ever had 🕯️
I’d go back every year without even thinking twice
If you’re planning to go, here are a few things I wish I knew:
– Book your tickets early (4–6 months in advance) 🎟️
I got mine 3 months before and most options were already sold out
– Book your hotel right after 🏨
Prices go up a lot and availability gets very limited
– Plan your transport in advance ✈️🚆
Trains from Bangkok sell out first (especially night trains), flights are easier but still get expensive
– Transfer is included 🚐
You don’t need to think about how to get there, but traffic can be heavy
– If you can, choose a better ticket category ✨
Standard had very long queues (up to 2–3 hours), higher categories were much smoother
The whole experience was incredible
Beautiful location, sunset, traditional performances, food areas… everything felt very well organized
And the main moment — releasing lanterns together with everyone around you ✨
something I’ll never forget
Also, everything is eco-friendly and there’s a lot of staff around, so it feels very safe 🤍
Even with traffic and waiting — 100% worth it
Would absolutely recommend experiencing this at least once ✨
