😂 You've got that one friend. The one who uses text messages not for real-time communication, but for time capsule deliveries. You send a message on Monday-a hilarious thought, an urgent plan, or an actual life-altering query. You then start checking your phone... and checking... and checking. This reel captures the reality of sending a text and waiting two full days for a reply. The video tracks your dramatic journey: first, hope; then confusion; then the grim realization that your friend has simply left the chat realm. Your message is now irrelevant. The movie you planned to watch is gone from theaters. The pizza you offered is compost. The urgent problem? You've already solved it using complex Google searches and sheer willpower. The climax arrives when the notification finally pops up, 48 hours late, and the content is something utterly casual, like "haha, true!" or "Oh, cool." The lack of self-awareness is astounding. It's like they're sending a postcard from a desert island, completely oblivious to the fact that you've already completed a frantic, solo world tour since they last checked their device. It's the ultimate test of patience and proof that your friend is still running on dial-up internet time. Tag that friend who always replies so late their text is officially a historic artifact! Quick, easy, effective 👏🏻 Never be at a loss for words again with these comebacks. Many times we feel we have to have an elaborate response to something we don’t like and are stumped in the moment. Then we beat ourselves up in hindsight when we think of something good. But short and sweet responses like these are easy for us to remember and still hold the other person accountable. Keep it real and don’t take any sh*t with kindness, class, and confidence. 😉 To recap, the 5 listed here are: 1️⃣ That’s an odd comment. 2️⃣ That’s a strange thing to say. 3️⃣ This is uncomfortable. 4️⃣ That’s not very nice. 5️⃣ I’m surprised you feel comfortable saying that. What else would you add to this list? #wellwithraele #communication #advocateforyourself #communicationcoach #clapback

"People who immediately respond to your text are not desperate. People who immediately respond to your calls are not desperate. People who are always there for you when you need them are not always free or jobless" - @danielchidiac Whenever I post something around this, especially in a dating context, the comment section tends to get extremely divided. I stand to what I‘ve said before. We do give time to things and people who are important to us. Being responsive, present, and available is a sign of care and priority, not desperation. We naturally make time for what and who matters to us. And when others show up for us, it is something to appreciate rather than question. At the same time, the attention and presence we receive from others often reflect their priorities and capacity, not our worth. If someone consistently cannot offer the connection, care, or reliability you need – whether in friendship, family, or any other relationship – it is a signal to reassess. Sometimes that means creating more space, focusing on your own growth, and investing in relationships that feel mutual and supportive. Someone’s lack of attention should not make them more valuable in your eyes. If it does, it may be worth exploring why your self-worth feels tied to scarcity or external validation, and how you can nurture that worth from within 🩵

Getting left on read can be frustrating, but there are ways to improve your chances of getting a response. Here are some tips: 1. Be Clear and Engaging: Make your message interesting or engaging. Avoid generic or vague questions like “What’s up?” Instead, ask something specific that requires more than a yes or no answer. 2. Timing Matters: Send your message at a time when the person is likely to be available to respond. If you know they’re busy, wait until they’re more likely to be free. 3. Don’t Overwhelm: Keep your messages concise. Long or multiple texts can be overwhelming and might make someone less likely to respond. 4. Show Interest, But Don’t Be Pushy: Express genuine interest in the conversation or their thoughts, but avoid coming across as too eager or desperate for a reply. 5. Be Patient: Sometimes people are busy or distracted. Give them time to respond before sending follow-up messages. #read #texting #dms #meta #reel #reels #instagram #meme #funny #jokes #viral #explore #fyp #feed #algorithm #lovemarkzuckerburg #relateable

1. Acknowledge the gap. Say something like “It’s been a while” or “I just realised we haven’t talked in forever.” You’re breaking the ice without begging for attention. read below... 2. Don’t be dry Don’t send a “hi” Say “I saw something that reminded me of you” Make it feel intentional. 3. Add a little tease. “Did you disappear or did I?” Instant spark. Light banter. Game back on. 4. Keep it moving. Don’t drag the past or over-apologise. Shift the energy: “Anyway, what’s being happening in your world?” Silence doesn’t kill connection. Inconsistency does and have a great Valentines Day
