Invited by @chisaosano, her son @dan.osano, and the Tsujiri team (a brilliant mix of Japanese and Taiwanese talents) to celebrate the opening of their new Matcha Tea House in Paris @tsujiri_fr, I had the pleasure of returning to Le Cinq, the three-Michelin-star restaurant at @fsgeorgevparis. It had been fifteen years since my last visit, back when Chef @eric_briffard was at the helm, whom I had the honor of meeting again this year at @escoffiermaroc. A truly exceptional chef, precise, generous, and profoundly human. Since 2014, the torch has been carried by @christianlesquer, whose cuisine remains as refined, expressive, and timelessly elegant. True to myself, I skipped the tasting menu. I wanted to try one signature dish in particular, and ended up diving into his world, graceful, balanced, and full of Breton character. Thank you Chisa-san for such a beautiful evening of friendship and gastronomy. 🇫🇷 Invitée par Chisa Osano, son fils Dan et l’équipe Tsujiri, ce brillant assemblage de talents venus du Japon et de Taïwan, pour célébrer l’ouverture de leur nouvelle maison de thé matcha à Paris, dans le quartier de l’Opéra, j’ai eu le plaisir de retrouver Le Cinq, le trois-étoiles Michelin du George V. Quinze ans s’étaient écoulés depuis ma dernière visite, à l’époque d’Éric Briffard, ce chef d’une précision et d’une humanité rares, que j’ai eu l’honneur de revoir cette année à l’événement des Disciples Escoffier Maroc. Depuis, le flambeau est entre les mains de Christian Le Squer, breton, maître d’une cuisine à la fois ciselée, expressive et d’une élégance intemporelle.
