NEW // LIGHTWAVES RETURNS TO SALFORD QUAYS & MEDIACITY - THIS WEEKEND ONLY💡 Lightwaves is Salford’s stunning free annual light art festival brought to you by @quayscultureuk, and this weekend, it returns to Salford Quays & MediaCityUK for its 10th year! There’s 15 brilliant light artworks on display this year (7 on the Quays and 8 on MediaCity) and last night we ventured out in the rain to get a first glimpse… we absolutely loved ‘Polyrhythms’ by @axoloticreative and Alison Smith & Dr Chris Hassall’s, ‘Nectary’, but the stand out of the evening was easily ‘Cetus’: a 6-metre electronic blue whale swimming around Salford Quays, created and controlled by Berlin’s @loomaland. The festival is THIS WEEKEND ONLY, running from Thursday to Sunday (Dec 7-10th) and we couldn’t recommend it more. It’s free. There’s no need to book.
