BESadly our London summer has come to an end - we miss it already but are happy to be home. For these two LA kids who are used to driving everywhere, the thing they won’t miss about London is probably having to take public transportation everywhere 😅 Don’t get me wrong, the London Underground is a very convenient way for tourists to get around the city, but the routes usually still involved quite a bit of walking to and from the stations (which is why we actually preferred to just WALK most places if we could), it could get very crowded, and honestly it was more expensive that I thought it would be, especially if you’re only taking one or two rides a day, which is all we needed really. Did you know the Tube has one of the most expensive metro fares in the world? Yes there’s a daily cap but let’s say for a family of four (both our kids still had to pay even though it was discounted) going one way only, it was actually sometimes cheaper just to take an Uber! Which our girls were more than happy to do 😄
What’s your typical mode of transportation when visiting a metropolitan city? Team Metro or Team Uber?
