Then they discover more diagnostics are necessary to get a better picture… genetics, biological age, microbiome, full-body MRI. At first, all the information feels empowering. But something interesting happens the deeper you go. More data. More experts. More opinions. And eventually you realize… you’re the one left to decide which data is important, which expert opinion is correct, which protocol is priority, etc. That’s usually when people discover the real problem isn’t testing. At one of the largest Longevity Conferences in Vegas (in December - but y’all know life been life-ing; and also, the irony is not lost on any of us 🎪), .. 💥 a lot of the conversation is about peptides and advanced therapies. 💥 And they can absolutely have a role. But the cost/benefit analysis rarely works in your favor if the foundations of health aren’t in place. If sleep is fragmented, circadian rhythm is off, movement is minimal, muscle mass is declining, nutrition is inconsistent, and the nervous system is living in chronic stress… peptides aren’t going to rescue that physiology. They can enhance a system that’s already working. They don’t replace the basics. Longevity still comes back to the same fundamentals: • Sleep and circadian rhythm • Nutrient-dense food • Daily movement and steps • Strength and muscle mass • Stress regulation • Meaningful & supportive relationships The “boring” things are still the most powerful medicine. For the last three years, my husband ❤️has given me a gift that isn’t wrapped in a box. It’s time. Longevity. Intention. 🤍 Yesterday I was back at Human Longevity in San Diego. Yes it’s controversial. Yes it’s extensive. MRIs, multiple vials of blood, all the data. And for someone who leans more Eastern than Western medicine, it pushes me out of my comfort zone. But here’s how I look at it ... If we can prevent something, why wouldn’t we? 🤷🏻‍♀️ I don’t go down rabbit holes. I don’t obsess. I use this as a compass preventative medicine, not fear-based medicine. A way to measure, track, and course-correct. And the data matters. More muscle. Less fat. Strong bone density. Real, tangible progress over the last year. It’s a small price to pay for a long, healthy life. I plan to live to 107 ✨and if this helps me get there and simply die of old age one day, I’m all in.
