Computer processors read memory in blocks of 4 bytes. If you place a small variable (1 byte) before a large one (4 bytes), the processor inserts empty space called "Padding" to maintain alignment. This creates invisible wasted memory.
✅ The Solution (Reordering):
By simply grouping the largest variables (like integers) at the top and smaller variables (like characters) at the bottom, you remove the need for these empty spaces.
✅ The Result:
In the first example, the code uses 12 bytes of RAM. In the second example, the exact same data uses only 8 bytes.
✅ Why It Matters:
Saving 4 bytes seems small, but if you have an array of 1 million users, this simple change saves 4 Megabytes of RAM instantly. This is how high-performance systems are engineered.
