How to Check If Someone Is Spying On Your Computer! 🧑‍💻🥷 1️⃣ Go to System Preferences: Open the Apple menu and click on “System Preferences.” 2️⃣ Check Users & Groups: Click on “Users & Groups” to see the list of accounts on your Mac. 3️⃣ Look for Suspicious Users: Review the list and ensure all accounts are familiar. If there’s an account you don’t recognize, it could be a sign of unauthorized access. 4️⃣ Check for Sharing Settings: Go back to “System Preferences” and click on “Sharing.” Ensure only the services you intentionally turned on (like file sharing) are enabled, and verify the users who have access. 5️⃣ Audit Your Applications: Open “Activity Monitor” and check the running processes. Look out for any apps or processes you don’t recognize. Google their names if you’re unsure. ✨Bonus Tip:✨ Consider using a firewall or monitoring software to track and block unauthorized connections. Is Your MacBook Secure? Check for Malware Using This Simple Trick! 🔍💻 A few days ago, I received a suspicious email, and not gonna lie—it freaked me out. It mentioned suspicious activity from my MacBook, and since I had recently downloaded some third-party apps, I got concerned. So, I did some digging and found out that MacBooks actually have a built-in antivirus and anti-malware system! Here’s how you can check your Mac for malware: Step-by-Step Guide 1️⃣ Open Terminal – Search for “Terminal” in Spotlight (Cmd + Space) and open it. 2️⃣ Run the command – Copy and paste the command spctl —status into Terminal. Hit enter. 3️⃣ Enable Assessment – You should see a message saying “Assessment enabled”, after that run this command, log show —predicate ‘eventMessage contains “XProtect”’ —info —last 7d The built-in antivirus is now scanning your files. 4️⃣ Wait for the scan – Depending on how many files you have, this might take some time. 5️⃣ Get the report – Once the scan is complete, it will generate a report. 6️⃣ Analyze it with ChatGPT – If you don’t understand the results, copy them and paste them into ChatGPT with this prompt: “I wanted to check my MacBook for malware and ran xprogress in Terminal for it, and this is the result.” 7️⃣ Check for further issues – If there are any suspicious files, you can run a free anti-malware check (link in bio). 8️⃣ Stay secure – Change your passwords if needed and keep your system updated. My MacBook was fine, but taking this extra step gave me peace of mind. Try it out and let me know if this helps! 🔒✨ 📌 Save this post for later & share it with someone who needs it! 🚀 MacBook tips, MacBook tricks, MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, Apple, MacBook, tech, tech tips, tech tricks, technology, tips and tricks, tech hacks, Apple ecosystem, Apple products, Apple hub, antivirus, anti malware, MacBook apps, appstore #macbook #macbookpro #macbookair #macbookproretina #techhacks #techreels #techblog #ipad #techtricks #techtips #techreels #apple #appleproducts #appleevent #antivirus #techtrends #applemacbook #techlife #reelsinstagram #reelsvideo #reelsviral
