For projection mapping on art, you could get away with something much more affordable. Software: @mad_mapper - Industry standard for projection mapping. Lets you map individual zones around each frame so you’re projecting light and animation onto the objects. They offer a free demo to try first and you can pay for just a month too. Ambient lighting: @nanoleaf Matter corner light If you’re thinking about trying this, here’s what to look for in a projector: Lumens: 2000+ for a dim room, 3000+ if you want flexibility with ambient light Resolution: 1080p is plenty, though the one in this video is 4K and is amazing. Throw ratio: Check this matches your room size. short-throw projectors work better in smaller spaces Connectivity: HDMI minimum, wireless is a bonus for cleaner setup Lens shift/keystone: Makes positioning easier when you’re not ceiling-mounting You don’t need to spend a fortune.
