Nonna’s Magic Cake recipe - 5ingredients, the easiest cake recipe and it can be transformed into hundreds of flavour combinations! Some important tips below - but first SAVE, LIKE this and SHARE it with one person who needs a baking win today! And FOLLOW me for more simple, Italian recipes for busy people! Preheat oven to 180C Weigh 3-5 eggs in their shells (I think 4 is the perfect combo but you can make more or less) Whatever the weight of the eggs, mix equal quantities of self raising flour, fat (see note below), caster sugar, cracked eggs without the shells and one teaspoon of baking powder. Beat for at least 5 mins in a stand mixer until soft and smooth. Fat - I like to use soft butter but any fat works - half butter half oil, margarine makes a very soft light cake, you can even use Greek yoghurt. Pour mix into a lined cake tin, silicone bunt mould, cup cake moulds - any shape works and bake for 30-40mins or until cooked through/golden. Remove from oven and leave to cool. Turn out once cool and enjoy! FLAVOUR COMBOS: As long as you don’t overload the flavours, you can mix and match this in lots of different ways: ⭐️ add a large tablespoon of cocoa powder to the baking mix for a chocolate cake - chocolate chips are a yummy addition too ⭐️ warm some lemon and icing sugar and drizzle over the cake once cool for a delicious lemon drizzle ⭐️ add nuts, coffee powder, cinnamon and top with a coffee icing glaze for a delicious coffee combo ⭐️ cut the cake into a shape (number?) and ice for a birthday surprise Skirt @scampanddude @scampanddudejo #gift Shirt @southoftheriver.co.uk #gift #italianfood #italiandessert #feedingthefamily #theitalianway #cookexpert #magimix #traditionalrecipe #easyrecipes

French Magic Cake Ingredients: • 4 eggs at room temperature • ¾ cup sugar • 1 stick unsalted butter, melted • 1 tbsp vanilla • ¾ cup all-purpose flour • ¼ tsp salt • 2 cups milk room temp • 1 tbsp water Instructions: Preheat oven to 325°F (160°C). Grease a 8" square baking dish and line with parchment paper. Set aside. Separate the eggs and beat the egg yolks in a large bowl with the sugar until light and fluffy. Add the melted butter and vanilla and continue beating for another minute or two until well incorporated. Add the flour and salt and mix until the batter is smooth. Add the milk and water and give it another good whisk. Add the egg whites to another large, DRY bowl and beat until stiff peaks form. Gently fold into the batter, be careful not to overmix. You DO NOT want this to be a smooth batter, it should be clumpy. Pour batter into a baking dish and bake for 45 to 55 minutes or until the top is lightly golden and the cake has a slight jiggle.
