VEStage 1: Preparation
Place the herbal Panchakavya lamp on a flat surface and insert a fresh cotton wick into the center of the lamp.
Stage 2: Adding Ghee
Fill the lamp with pure cow ghee until the wick is well-soaked and the cavity is nearly full.
Stage 3: Lighting the Lamp
Light the tip of the wick. The lamp will burn like a traditional diya, spreading a peaceful glow.
Stage 4: The Transformation
As the ghee finishes, the flame will naturally reach the edges of the lamp, causing the herbal shell (Panchakavya) to catch fire.
Stage 5: Sambrani Effect
The entire lamp starts to burn slowly. At this stage, it acts like a Sambrani dhoop, releasing medicinal and aromatic smoke into the air.
Stage 6: Natural Smoldering
The flame subsides, and the lamp continues to smolder (burn without a flame), turning into white ash while maintaining its shape.
Stage 7: Completion
Once the burning process is fully finished, the lamp naturally crumbles into herbal ash (Bhasma).
Stage 8: Sacred Ash (Vibhuthi)
The final remains are pure, organic ash. This ash is considered sacred and can be used as a natural fertilizer for plants or as Vibhuthi.
