Making your own cheese at home is actually really easy and really fun to do. It only takes two ingredients to make this cheese and you can do the whole thing in less than 20 minutes so make your own mozzarella. It’s fun! . 1/2 gallon, raw or pasteurized milk (high-quality) 1/2 cup vinegar (or a little less, you don’t have to be exact) Pinch of salt (optional) . Heat milk and stainless steel pot to 115°F. Use a thermometer or if you put your finger in it it should feel like hot bath water. Add in vinegar, stir for 20 seconds. Take it off the heat and cover with lid for 15 to 20 minutes. Remove cheese, curds with slotted spoon. Place in cheese cloth or fine mesh strainer. Press out all the whey from the cheese curds. Heat up remaining whey liquid to 170° place your cheese ball inside the way liquid to warm up stretch the cheese and fold it over into a smooth ball. This is where you could add your salt place the cheese ball into ice water to cool completely! slice and enjoy. . Fresh Homemade Mozzarella Cheese 🧀 Two simple ingredients and under an hour is all it takes to make fresh mozzarella at home. It costs less than buying it, tastes way better than store-bought, and you already have everything you need at home right now. Follow along if you want to eat better while spending less. Ingredients • ½ gallon whole milk (make sure it’s NOT ultra-pasteurized) • ½ cup white vinegar • Optional: 1 tsp salt Instructions 1. Add the milk to a large pot and slowly heat it to 120°F (49°C), stirring occasionally so it doesn’t burn. 2. Take it off the heat, add the vinegar, and stir for about 30 seconds until curds form and separate from the whey. 3. Cover the pot and let it rest for 15 minutes. 4. Remove the curds and squeeze out as much liquid as possible. Mix in salt here if using. 5. Place the curds in a bowl and microwave for 30 seconds. Stretch and fold the cheese a few times until it’s smooth and stretchy. 6. Form into a ball and transfer to an ice bath for 15 minutes to firm up. #mozzarella #homemade

I made this Colby cheese 🧀 Now comes the waiting. It’s headed into the cheese cave (aka my wine fridge). In a week, I’ll vacuum seal it — not the most traditional method, but it’s the one that works best for me. (Vac sealing means I don’t have to keep humidity at 80–85%, which can be tricky at home.) The recipe says it can be ready in about 30 days, but I like to age mine a little longer. Flavor takes time. I’ll see you back here in a few months for the taste test. Hang around. 🤍 Try it at home! My first aged cheeses 🥹. I’ve always wanted to learn how to make my own cheese at home and I’m real proud of myself for starting. Of course I chose to learn now while I’m also learning to be a mother, but that’s a huge part of motherhood, isn’t it? Wanting to make every nook and cranny of your lives beautiful and nurturing and nutritious. I use @cheese_from_scratch_’s fantastic book for all my cheeses. #cheese #cheesemaking #homemade #fromscratch #homestead #farm #tennessee #cottage

I finally succeeded in making Mozzarella cheese at home. I wasted 2 liters of pasteurized fresh milk and 1 liter of raw fresh milk to understand why. I was quite stubborn in trying to use pasteurized milk from the supermarket to make this, even though I did use rennet. The first time I tried fresh milk, it had rennet but it still failed because I measured the temperature incorrectly. Is Mozzarell cheap where you live? Where I live, it's cheaper to make because it's quick and standard, but when I made it myself, I learned the process and part of the reason why rennet is used when making cheese, it's really special. I'm still researching how to make fresh, soft, and delicious cheese to use in salads. Soft and fresh. I dissolved 1.5 rennet tablets in 20 grams of filtered water I defrosted 2L of fresh milk (by which I mean milk I bought directly from the farm and had it delivered to my house). I didn't have enough knowledge to make it so I was instructed to put it in the freezer. I put 150 grams of vinegar into the pot, then added milk (I didn't stir) and just like that, then heated it to 32 degrees Celsius. I slowly added the rennet to the pot and stirred slowly from top to bottom (of course, still following the recipe). circular path, like a spiral). I just stir like that twice then turn off the stove and leave for about 7 - 10 minutes. When I opened the lid, I got a mass with a texture similar to a giant pudding. I used a knife to cut into checkerboard-shaped squares so that the curds were in direct contact with the rennet. Then I stir slowly until the mixture reaches 40 - 45 minutes. Then filter the curd and keep the water hot to 90 degrees then soak the cheese block in water for about 15-20 seconds, use your hands to stretch the cheese and do so a few times until the cheese is pliable and soft. Wear a thick glove. Store cheese in a jar of cold water and use within 5-7 days. My experience is still extremely inexperienced in this field, please help me and everyone if you have experience #vykhuefoodstylist #makingcheese #mozzarella #cheese #foodblogger #foodreels

2 Ingredient Mozzarella Cheese Did you know that all you need are 2 Ingredients to make fresh, gooey, stretchy mozzarella cheese at home- Fresh Buffalo Milk & Vinegar! The trick is to curdle milk at the right temperature- 46C, rest it for 10 minutes and then squeeze it out. Right now it is grainy in texture, so cook it in a non stick pan at medium heat for 5-6 minutes till it becomes smooth & stretchy. Shape it into a ball and immerse in ice cold water for 15 minutes. now enjoy! #mozzarella #cheese #recipe #pankajbhadouria #mozzarellacheese

Apparently you only need 2 ingredients to make cheese at home! Here’s my attempt at making paneer cheese with some milk I bought on sale as it’s expiring soon! I definitely wouldn’t be able to finish the whole carton so soon so turning it into cheese is the best way to reduce waste 😊 #cheese #diy #reel #reels #reelsinstagram #dairy Full recipe: 1 jug of full cream milk 5 tablespoons of lemon juice 1. Heat up the milk until it just starts to simmer. 2. Turn the heat off and add the lemon juice a little at a time 3. Mix until curds form (about 1 min) 4. Strain and squeeze out excess water 5. Leave to drain overnight What’s your favorite type of cheese?
