It varies per artist but most artist but most struggle with brow mapping we could be practicing on a mannequin watching all the youtube videos and still struggle...until one day it clicks! The technique I use allows me to map any brow no matter the size shape width any brow but I had to perfect the technique first In the one on one course we spend a huge focus on brow mapping... once that skill is perfected you can shape any brow!

Here are 3 mapping tips I swear by after years behind the chair: 1️⃣ Keep your outline THIN & CLEAN. Your mapping lines should be neat, precise, and almost delicate. Clean them up with a micro brush or pointed Q-tip. Whether you’re using thread, stencil, or pencil — that line needs to be sharp so your needle has a clear, accurate guide. Thick messy lines = confused strokes. 2️⃣ Follow the hair. Create a shape that respects the client’s natural growth pattern. Where the hair is densest? That’s your anchor. Stop forcing trendy shapes on faces that don’t support them. Structure > trends. Always. 3️⃣ Soft arch, baby. Soft. No over-arching. No super round. No ruler-straight. The arch should flow naturally with the bone structure and facial movement. We’re enhancing — not redesigning their DNA. Mapping is the blueprint. If the blueprint is off, everything after that will be off too. Save this. Send it to your brow bestie. It doesn’t have to be! 🙂‍↕️ Brow mapping comes in many different styles & finding the one that works best for you takes time & practice! I’ve learned many techniques & honestly I use them all! The one showcased here is an elevated + quicker version! What my non negotiables to every style are: • Make sure your lines are clean: A messy mapping can 100% ruin your drawing & will cause you to take more time cleaning & re-doing • Take your time & check: With every line created, I will step back and check to see if it’s solid or i need to re-do it • Do a final check SITTING UP to finalize the symmetry & shape! • Stretch the skin: When using the china marker you want to ensure the lines are crisp & a bouncy skin can cause them to be thicker. This can make the shape uneven/bigger than you wanted it to be •* *Covering shadows: You’ll notice I use both hands to cup over the eyebrows to cover any lighting/shadows that might deter how I see the evenness of the shape! This has been a game changer for me!
