🩺 Organising my medical notes in Notion @notionhq One of the most useful habits I’ve built in med school is treating my notes like a clinical reference. Instead of endless, unstructured documents, I’ve set up Notion to mirror the way I think on the wards: fast access, structured content, and active learning 🙏 Master Database = the hub Every lecture and resource goes into a single database, tagged by: • Discipline → physiology, anatomy, pathology, pharmacology. • System → cardio, resp, neuro, renal, GI, etc. • Format → lecture, guideline, personal summary. This way, if I need to revise renal physiology, I can filter instantly — no scrolling through folders. 🔹 System-Based Pages Each system (e.g. Cardiology) has its own dedicated page. Inside, conditions are ranked by prevalence and clinical importance (e.g. hypertension, IHD, AF at the top). Rare conditions are still included, but sit further down. 🔹 One-page rule For efficiency, I keep each condition to one page only. • If more depth is needed, I use linked subpages (e.g. “Hypertension → Medications” or “AF → ECG interpretation”) so the parent page never becomes overwhelming. • This mirrors how clinical guidelines are layered: key info up front, with the option to drill down. 🔹 Clinical note structure Each condition page is formatted like I’d approach a real patient: • History of Presenting Complaint (HoPC) → typical presentation + red flags. • Examination → key positive & negative findings. • Investigations → bedside, bloods, imaging, special tests. • Differentials → common vs must-not-miss. • Management → acute, chronic, non-pharmacological, pharmacological. • Follow-up & prognosis → long-term considerations. This structure makes it easy to transition from “lecture notes” → “clinical reasoning”. 🔹 Active recall with Toggles Notion’s toggle function is the secret weapon: • I hide diagnostic criteria, drug doses, or management steps inside toggles. • When revising, I try to recall before clicking → like digital flashcards built into my notes. • This keeps learning active, not passive ✨ #studygram #notion #medstudent #medschool

Comment “MEDICINE” for PDF & Save for later🔗💌 If MEDICINE NOTES feel too much to make, I get it, so I made them for you (super high-yield & exam-focused). DM “NOTES” for the details 📩 Some more tips to cover Medicine in less time and get maximum questions correct⤵️ 📝Its not possible to study entire medicine not even if you give whole 6 months. So, I mentioned topics which are frequently asked in both MGE & NEET PG📚 📝Dedicate one full day to each system & solve its questions. Finish medicine in 7 days this way, then revise these notes for an hour daily and keep solving questions💯 By the time the exam comes, you’ll naturally gain confidence in medicine🥳 📝Focus more on the diagnosis and management part of medicine and integrate it with physiology, pathology & pharmacology. 📝Some topics are already covered in pathology, so study those from there & focus on solving as many medicine questions as possible💯 If you have any further question, feel free to ask! 1. ❌ I started taking digital notes first, it proved to be effective because I could make them colourful. 2. ⏰That still took a lot of time. ✅ So I switched to buying printed notes of the coaching I followed. Next step : I made the necessary markings on the 📝 notes. ➡ ✅After completion of the lecture, I would write down the additional points using sticky notes ( with proper colour coding) 👇 While revising the chapter in my weekends, I would use sticky pads ➡ write down the volatile points ➡ stick them on wall ➡ 🟢 SAVES extra time ⌚ each time I would revise. 👇 Use sticky tubes to demarcate the chapters 📕 ➡ Saves time ⌚ to find chapters from a cluster and revise effectively. 🔴Every time you search for chapters, you just grow more frustrated. Delete it. ✅ Save this reel and follow for more! All the sticky tubes, pads and notes are stacked in my linktree ( my bio). 🟢 DM me *guide* if you want the direct link. My Study Habits in Med School that got me Multiple Distinctions x 🏅🏅🏅🏅 🏅MAKING NOTES IN CLASS, no matter how sleepy or tired I am, but I would always write imp points down. It would give me an idea about what was taught in class. 🏅STUDYING EVERYDAY, first from my notes then from the course books. I would study everything after coming back from the uni and just like that my everyday was productive. 🏅Always going by a STUDY SCHEDULE before any substage, test, assessment, mids. I would always try to cover syllabus beforehand and would never leave it all to cover at the end. 🏅Using PAST PAPER BOOKS in the start of the year, it would give me an idea about the type of questions asked in the exam and how to attempt them because in course books everything is too scattered and unorganised, making you confused. 🏅Always Prioritising STUDY SMART than hard, by that I mean i never was a bookworm because you dont need to be one in order to score well. 🏅Taking SENDUP EXAMS SERIOUS, I would always study really hard for the sendups just as they are profs and I would make a detailed study schedule. And for Prof prep I would follow the similar schedule. 🏅REVISION, I cant emphasise enough on this how important it is to keep a few days at the end of your Sendup prep or prof prep and even on the prof exam day. I would always try to keep my early mornings hours before exam to just do an ultra quick revision, more of a visual memory and it always made the difference.
