ONOver 18,000 people participated in the Miami Marathon on Sunday and the first guy to cross the finish line shattered records, clocking in around 2 hours and 20 minutes #OnlyinFlorida
The event marks its fourth consecutive sellout with participants ranging from 14 to 88 years old. People from 48 states and 77 countries travelled in to compete in the marathon, with the majority coming from Colombia and Mexico.
Colombia had the highest participation rate of any country, with almost 2,000 athletes in attendance.

The 2026 Life Time Miami Marathon & Half, presented by FP Movement, is officially underway today in Miami — bringing together runners from across the U.S. and around the world to conquer the iconic flat, fast course through Downtown Miami, South Beach, Brickell and Coconut Grove. 🏙️🌴 
✨ With a record-breaking sold-out field of roughly 18,500 participants representing all 50 states and more than 70 countries, this year’s race continues a tradition of global competition and community celebration. 
📍 The marathon weekend features:
• A Marathon (26.2 miles) & Half Marathon (13.1 miles) — both finishing at Bayfront Park with breathtaking water views. 
• A Life Time Tropical 5K warm-up on January 24. 
• Health, fitness and expo activations that kicked off earlier this weekend.

OMMiami Half Marathon #4 ✅
Fourth consecutive year running the @themiamimarathon and once again happy to have done it🔥
This is probably one of the times I’ve shown up in the best shape, and although my goal wasn’t to seek a PR, the goal was to run it with my friends and teammates from @myolympiccoach and @runningwithlucho in 1:30, with @ortaluis15 as the official pacer🚀
Unfortunately, I’ve had several days feeling unwell, with the flu, cough, and maybe a bit of a fever, and I had to run while sick. Obviously, I couldn’t keep up with the group after mile 4, so I slowed my pace until I felt comfortable enough to finish the race without much trouble🤷🏻♂️
It was the best I could have done once again, because it allowed me to enjoy the race and the city while I was running through it 🌇
Now it’s time to rest a bit, recover, and keep working to see if we can run hard in @run_fort_lauderdale and/or Miami 305🤔
Thank you, Miami! See you next year 👊🏻

Probablemente es una de las veces en la que en mejor forma he llegado, y aunque mi meta no era buscar un PR, el objetivo si era correrlo con mis amigos y teammates de @myolimpiccoach y @runningwithlucho en 1:30, teniendo a @ortaluis15 de pacer oficial🚀
Lamentablemente he tenido varios dias sintiéndome mal, con gripe, tos y quizás algo de fiebre, y me tocó correr enfermo. Obviamente no pude seguir con el grupo después de la milla 4, así que bajé el ritmo hasta poder sentirme cómodo y poder terminar la carrera sin mayor problema🤷🏻♂️
Fue lo mejor que pude haber hecho nuevamente, porque me permitió poder disfrutar de la carrera y de la ciudad mientras la recorría🌇
Ahora toca descansar un poco, recuperarnos y seguir trabajando a ver si corremos duro @run_fort_lauderdale y/o Miami 305🤔
