91“Michael was born in Hull, Yorkshire to the late Joseph L. Egan and Edith (née Petch) Egan and grew up on the Orchard Estate in Hull.
Michael and his sister emigrated to Canada in 1969. In 1981, he married his wife, Anna Maria, and they had two children, Jonathan and Matthew. In 1991, they moved from Montreal, to Lincroft, New Jersey.
He and his wife intended to go Bermuda to celebrate their 20th wedding anniversary and his sister flew from Winnipeg, Canada, to look after their children.
His sister, Christine, accompanied him to his office for a cup of coffee and a peek out the windows. He worked as a vice president of a multinational insurance company, AON Corporation, on the 105th floor of the South Tower. They both perished while helping colleagues escape.
