WII spent the day at the Microsoft AI Tour in London, and these were my 3 takeaway messages:
We aren’t just talking about chatbots anymore. We’re talking about a potential future shift in how we handle clinical admin.
1️⃣ From Tools to Agents: We’re moving past AI that just “answers questions.” We’re entering the era of AI Agents. Imagine digital interns that can build audits, manage spreadsheets, and prep patient lists in the background while you’re on the ward.
2️⃣ The End of the typing Burden: Ambient voice-to-text technology is becoming clinically intelligent. Imagine a world where your documentation is drafted in real-time with full clinical context. This is the cure for the burnout we’re all feeling.
3️⃣ The “Human” Premium: As AI handles the logic and the data, our value as doctors shifts. We may not be required as much as data processors and can focus more on the human side of medicine.
The Modern Doctor doesn’t fear AI—they use it to get their time back. ⏳
